A Psalm to take to heart

Read over this Psalm and remember how much the Creator loved and adored you when He created you and how much He loves and adores you now. When God created you, there were no mistakes, no regrets. He is perfect and He does not make mistakes. So when you are criticizing yourself for some imperfection or "flaw" remember that the Creator of the universe had a plan for your life and He loves you more than you will ever comprehend.

 13 For you created my inmost being;
   you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
   your works are wonderful,
   I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
   when I was made in the secret place,
   when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
   all the days ordained for me were written in your book
   before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
   How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
   they would outnumber the grains of sand—
   when I awake, I am still with you.

Psalm 139:13-18

  1. Karin, thank you for posting this and for creating this blog! I will be following it, and I want you to know (if you didn't already) that I Love Love LOVE you and I am behind you 100%! I often turn to this psalm in times when I feel like God might have let His hand slip on the drawing board when He was making me - it's a good reminder that not only does He love us more than life itself, but He also made us exactly as we are, knowing everything about who we are, even more than we do! No mistakes, no "whoops!" moments, no backpedaling when you're talking about our perfect Father.
